Facebook has become a place where drama has taken over. It should be used so people can see pictures and meet up with old and new friends. It has become a place where all people do is rant about their feelings. These kind of people spill all their secrets and it has become a huge annoyance. There are even fights and bullying on Facebook. Yet, for some reason everybody still gets on it. It is a true obsession for many people in this world. If people would just stop and think once in a while maybe they wouldn't post their feelings all over Facebook.

Dunk contest issues

     The Allstar weekend for the NBA is one of the most exciting times of the year. However, in the past 5 or so years the dunk contest, which is supposed to be the highlight of Allstar Saturday night, has been boring. It seems like players who compete are no longer trying to give the fans the show tuned in to watch. In the past few years it seems that the players have not prepared a spectacular dunk that will have people talking. The only dunk that has been memorable in the past few years was when Blake Griffin jumped over a car. Even that dunk lacked the degree of difficulty that has been shown in the past. They have completely removed the 50 point score system that used to take place. The score system made them strive to get a great score. i believe that they should bring back the point system. Lately they have chose a winner based on a vote by the fans at home. While this seems like a good idea on the surface, it has its flaws. When the fans at home are in charge the most popular player has a much higher chance of winning despite what dunks they perform. In the coming years the NBA should go back to their old system of scoring.

Children in Hollywood

  These days the child stars of Hollywood are going down hill fast. Justin Bieber is the latest of kids going down hill. It appears that a childhood in luxury has adverse effects on the child. He is now doing drugs, drinking and things that I'm sure people don't know. Lindsey Lohan, Vanessa Hudgens, Demi Lavato, Brittany Spears, and Michael Jackson are just a few examples of the plethora of people who broke out young and ended up going down hill. Many of the young girls are having provocative photos of them released on the internet. With social media these days its no wonder every body knows the problems these stars have faced. People should leave these people alone. With the scrutiny they face every time they make a mistake it is no wonder these kids are going crazy. I feel bad for them.

Kevin Durant is amazing

Kevin Durant has been playing absolutely phenomenal in the past 12 games. The leader of the Oklahoma City Thunder has scored 30 or more points in the past 12 games. 4 of them he has scored 40 or more. What this means for Kevin is that he is on his way to winning another scoring title and possibly his first MVP award. Not only does Kevin lead the NBA in scoring, he also is at the top of almost every category. This makes him a strong MVP candidate. I believe he deserves it more than any player. He works harder than almost any player. He scores better than practically any other player in the NBA. Watching him play is quite a sight to see. Not only is he extremely skilled, he also humble. The way he carries himself is better than most players in the NBA. This may be the year that Kevin Durant finally beats out Lebron James for the spot as MVP.
